Journey Travel Opportunities

Hop on board these new 2026 Journey tours!

Journey trips are a special extension of our community — a chance to explore new places, enjoy great company, and experience the special touches that make our outings so memorable. Our 2026 tours mark a return to our homegrown style of travel, built and led by our enthusiastic Journey Program Manager and designed especially for Journey friends.

We’re excited to offer two close‑to‑home motorcoach adventures this year: our classic one‑day Mystery Trip and a multi‑day getaway, Big Dreams and River Scenes, featuring Dubuque, Galena, and Dyersville. From themed clues and surprise stops on the Mystery Trip to river cruising and views, storied history, and an immersive Field of Dreams experience on the multi‑day tour, each adventure is personally planned and led by Journey’s own Kelly Robare.

Over the River and Through Nebraska…

A Day of Discovery: Journey’s Mystery Trip

More than 50 Journey friends, ranging in age from their 40s to their 90s, boarded a Husker motorcoach and set off on our first Mystery Trip since 2019. With a theme of Celebrate, Commemorate, and Savor, we explored six unforgettable stops across three Nebraska counties — each revealed through rhyming clues and shared laughter. From Polish pastries to Greek dancing, cider sipping to heartfelt moments honoring Vietnam veterans, and petting everything from alpacas to a sloth named Lucy, this fall-friendly adventure was packed with heart, history, and a whole lot of fun.

A Medicare readiness checklist

If you’re already enrolled in Medicare, the annual open enrollment period (Oct. 15 to Dec. 7) gives you the chance to review your current coverage, compare it with other options, and switch to another plan for the following year if you’d like. We’ve put together an annual enrollment checklist, complete with helpful information to help you get the ball rolling.

(Note that open enrollment is not for you if you are just about to sign up for Medicare for the first time. You get your own enrollment period to do that, and we have a resource for that, too!)

Each session was packed with actionable advice, helpful resources, and plenty of great insights.

If you missed out, don’t worry — individual recaps and video links can be found in the blog linked below, so you can tune in and catch up anytime. Happy viewing, and here’s to your best year yet!
